Wondering What Happened to the NWSS Utilities Community of Practice (CoP)?

From February 2022 to September 2025, WEF facilitated the NWSS Utilities CoP to support utilities in implementing wastewater-based public health monitoring and contributing to the National Wastewater Surveillance System (NWSS). Guided by a passionate and dedicated advisory council, the CoP fostered collaboration and learning through monthly virtual meetings, helping utilities share lessons learned and accelerate public health decision-making.

As our CDC-funded support for the Utilities CoP has concluded, we are winding down this initiative with deep gratitude for the incredible engagement and contributions from the community.
